Our 2025 Día de los Muertos celebration was a tremendous success, exceeding all expectations. We were thrilled to welcome over 1,000 community members who came to experience and honor the traditions of the Day of the Dead throughout the afternoon. This event is only possible because of dedicated community involvement! Join Us for Our Day of the Dead Celebration!
The Latin Voices Society is thrilled to host this Day of the Dead Celebration in the Okanagan on November 2, 2025! This vibrant event will introduce our community to the rich traditions and profound significance of Día de los Muertos, fostering understanding and celebrating life through this beautiful ancestral tradition.

Expect a multi-faceted experience featuring live music and dance, authentic food and drink, an altar building contest, a Catrina contest, a vibrant vendor market, and more.

Altar Contest
This event will feature an Altar Building Contest as part of our celebration.

The ofrenda is the heart of Día de los Muertos—a beautiful, creative display built to welcome and honor the spirit of a deceased loved one. We're inviting individuals and teams to showcase their creativity and deep respect for this tradition by building their own altar!

Catrina & Catrin Contest
We encourage everyone to dress up and embody the spirit of the iconic La Catrina and El Catrín. How to participate: It's very simple! Just visit the Latin Voices Society tent anytime to register. Participants will take the stage to show off their amazing costumes, and the audience will decide the winners with a standing ovation! Prizes will be awarded in three categories:
